Acura MDX 01-06 Remote Programming

  • Remote transmitter added or replaced
  • System malfunction
  • Obtain all remote transmittersNOTE: A maximum of 3 remote transmitters can be programmed
  • Switch ignition ON
  • Proceed as follows:NOTE: point remote transmitter at central locking signal control moduleNOTE: Central locking signal control module located near steering column
    • Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button [1] or UNLOCK button [2] of first remote transmitter
    • Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition OFF
    • Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition ON
  • Repeat procedure above twice
  • Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button [1] or UNLOCK button [2] of first remote transmitter
  • System should now lock and unlock vehicle to indicate programming mode activated
  • Within 10 seconds:
    • Press LOCK button [1] or UNLOCK button [2] of first remote transmitter, allowing doors to lock and unlock once
    • Press LOCK button [1]] or UNLOCK button [2] of each reamining remote transmitter to be programmed, allowing doors to lock and unlock once as each remote transmitter is programmed
  • Switch ignition OFF
  • Remove key
  • Check operation of all programmed remote transmitter
  • Remote transmitter added or replaced
  • System malfunction

  • System should now lock and unlock vehicle to indicate programming mode activated
  • Within 10 seconds:
    • Press LOCK button [1] or UNLOCK button [2] of first remote transmitter, allowing doors to lock and unlock once
    • Press LOCK button [1]] or UNLOCK button [2] of each reamining remote transmitter to be programmed, allowing doors to lock and unlock once as each remote transmitter is programmed
  • Switch ignition OFF
  • Remove key
  • Check operation of all programmed remote transmitter
