Keyless Fob Entry Programming for Volkswagen 1998-2010 New Beetle
Program your Key Smart Fob when key/remote transmitter added or replaced or a system malfunction.
- Insert master key into ignition switch
- Switch ignition ON
- With separate remote transmitter: Carry out the following within 30 seconds: Insert additional key into driver’s door lock. Lock vehicle manually. Press key/remote transmitter LOCK or UNLOCK button. Wait at least 2 seconds. Press key/remote transmitter LOCK or UNLOCK button again
- Vehicle horn sounds to indicate correct programming
- Keys/remote transmitters can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment
- NOTE: A maximum o f 4 key/remote transmitters can be programmed
