99-05 Volkswagen Golf Transmitter Programming How-to
Program remote only when key added, replaced or in case of a system malfunction.
- Insert master key into ignition switch
- Switch ignition ON
- Carry out the following within 30 seconds: Insert additional key into driver’s door lock. Lock vehicle manually. Press key LOCK or UNLOCK button. Wait at least 2 seconds. Press key LOCK or UNLOCK button again
- Switch ignition OFF
- Keys can also be programmed using diagnostic
- Note: A maximum of 4 keys can be programmed
Note: If the instructions above do not work, then the key can only be programmed using diagnostic equipment
