97-99 Toyota Camry Remote Transmitter Programming How-to
Program remote only when transmitter added, replaced or system malfunction.
- Ensure key removed from ignition switch
- Disconnect door mirror adjustment switch harness multi-plug terminals 2 and 10. System should now lock and unlock vehicle once
- Press any remote transmitter button. System should now lock and unlock vehicle to confirm
- If required repeat button procedure to program a second remote transmitter. System should now lock and unlock vehicle to confirm
- To exit programming mode. Remove jump lead from door mirror adjustment switch harness multi-plug
- Refit all components in reverse order of removal
- NOTE: Programming remote transmitter erases all previous codes. All remote transmitters must be programmed at the same times
- NOTE: A maximum of 2 remote transmitters can be programed
