Program only when system malfunction, key added or replaced.
Remote alarm/central locking instructions. Remote transmitters can only be programmed using diagnostic equipment. NOTE: A maximum of 8 remote transmitters can be programmed




Immobilizer How – with original master key

  • Insert master key into ignition switch
  • switch ignition ON
  • switch ignition OFF
  • Remove master key
  • Switch ignition ON
  • New key now programmed
  • NOTE: a maximum of 10 keys can be programmed using the master key

Immobilizer How – Without original master key without RPO 5L5

  • Note: all existing vehicle keys will have to be reprogrammed using the master key
  • to program a new master key proceed as follows
    • Switch ignition ON with master key to be programmed
    • System warning lamp or message will be displayed
    • After approximately 10 minutes lamp/message will switch OFF
    • Switch ignition OFF
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Switch ignition ON
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Switch ignition ON
    • System warning lamp or message will be displayed
    • After approximately 10 minutes lamp/message will switch OFF
    • Switch ignition OFF
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Switch ignition ON
    • System warning lamp or message will be displayed
    • After approximately 10 minutes lamp/message will switch OFF
    • Switch ignition OFF
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Start engine
  • New master key now programmed
  • With a scan tool, clear any digital trouble codes (DTC’s)
  • Replacement parts can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment
  • NOTE: Replacement keys have to be cut using ignition lock number, or using original as pattern

Immobilizer How – Without original master key – with RPO 5L5

  • NOTE: All existing vehicle keys will have to be reprogrammed

    • After approximately 2 minutes lamp/message will turn OFF
    • Switch ignition OFF
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Switch ignition ON
    • System warning lamp or message will be displayed
    • After approximately 2 minutes lamp/message will switch OFF
    • Switch ignition OFF
    • Wait 5 seconds
    • Start engine
  • New master key now programmed
