11-14 Chevy Cruze Transmitter Control Programming Instructions
Program only when system malfunction, key added or replaced.
How – Without smart entry system
- Key transmitter can only be programmed using diagnostic equipment
- NOTE: Existing key transmitter memory positions will be overwritten
- Obtain and reprogram all key transmitters
- NOTE: A maximum of 5 key transmitters can be programmed
How – With smart entry system and one programmed remote transmitter available
- NOTE: A maximum of 5 remote transmitters can be programmed
- Obtain all remote transmitters
- NOTE: Switch ignition OFF
- Place all programmed remote transmitters in the cup holder
- Remove plastic cover to access transmitters in the cup holder
- Insert key of recognized transmitter into transmitter slot
- Turn key to unlock position 5 times within 10 seconds. Driver information center will display READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, or 5
- Remove recognized transmitter from transmitter slow
- Place the unrecognized remote transmitter into the remote transmitter slot
- Press the ignition switch
- When remote transmitter is programmed, the DCI will show it is ready for the next remote transmitter
- REmove remote transmitter from remote transmitter slot and press the UNLOCK button
- To program additional remote transmitters, repeat previous steps starting with inserting next remote trasnmitter into the remote trasnimtter slot
- NOTE: To exit the programming mode, press and hold the ignition button for 10 seconds
How – with smart entry system and no programmed remote transmitters available
- NOTE: A maximum of 5 remote transmitters can be programmed
- NOTE: Erasing all previously programmed remote transmitters will take 30 minutes
- Obtain all remote transmitters
- NOTE: Switch ignition OFF
- Insert of the unrecognized remote transmitter into driver’s door lock
- Turn key to unlock position 5 times within 10 seconds. Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
- Wait 10 minutes until DIC displays PRESSS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
- Press ignition switch. Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
- Wait 10 minutes until DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
- Press ignition switch. Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
- Wait 10 minutes until DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
- Press ignition switch. Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
- all previously programmed remote transmitters are now erased. DIC will display READY FOR REMOTE #1
- Place the unrecognized remote transmitter into the remote transmitter slot
- Press the ignition switch
- When remote transmitter is programmed, the DIC will show it is ready for next remote transmitter
- Remove remote transmitter from slot and press the UNLOCK button
- To program additional remote transmitters, repeat previous steps starting with inserting next remote transmitter into the remote transmitter slot
- NOTE: To exit the programming mode, press and hold the ignition button for 10 seconds
Immobilizer without smart entry system
- Arms after removing ignition key
- Keys can only be programmed using diagnostic equipment
Immobilizer with original master key
- Insert master key into ignition
- Switch ignition ON
- Switch ignition OFF
- Remove master key
- Within 10 seconds insert new key and switch ignition ON
- New key now Programmed
- NOTE: A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed
Immobilizer with Smart entry system
- Arms after ignition button is turned to OFF
- Program when remote transmitter added, replaced or due to a system malfunction
- Immobilizer is programmed during remote transmitter programming procedure
